West Windsor taxpayers may have noticed that when they received their third quarter tax bills in the mail during the last week of July, a note attached to the bills stated that the grace period for when those bills are due has been extended.##M:[more]##
That’s because of a delay in the numbers coming from the state, says Mayor Shing-Fu Hsueh. “That’s why we allowed for a grace period. The bill was sent out to the taxpayers a little bit late.”
Originally, third quarter taxes were due August 1. But the grace period has been extended to Monday, August 25. But payments received after August 25 will be charged interest back to August 1
