##M:[more]##I am having a difficult time listening to some people critical of the proposed 1,”000 housing units at the West Windsor Transit Village. It seems some people don’t support any development at the train station and claim 1,”000 units will overwhelm the school system, contradictory to the opinion of our own school board.
I refer to a public report by Stan Katz, (posted on the township website) a member of the school board who earned a doctorate in applied economics. Katz has publicly testified that even up to 2,”000 residential units with proper phasing can be constructed at the train station without requiring the school district to build a single school.
Let’s not squander our opportunity to have our own true transit village that will generate millions of dollars in tax revenue, while creating a quality town center, of which, we can all be proud. As we move through the charrette process, we need to base our decision on facts.
