Tirza Wahrman, an attorney in West Windsor, wrote “Teens Beware: New Jersey’s Strict Marijuana Laws Criminalizing Possession for Recreational Use Are Still on the Books and Are Still Enforced.” It appeared in the December issue of the Mercer County Bar Association newsletter.
Wahrman, who has a general-litigation practice, has served as a court-appointed mediator. She was previously a deputy in the New Jersey Attorney General’s office in the environmental and regulatory practice group. She appears in court throughout New Jersey and is also a member of the New York Bar.”
Her article, “What to Tell Your Children About Marijuana Use in NJ,” appeared in The News on August 22, 2014. “Some day New Jersey may join other states in legalizing marijuana use,” she wrote. “But that day is not here yet. And so, teens and parents, be careful out there. Take the time to consult with a lawyer if you are charged with possession, and know what your rights are.”
