Brandi Scollins-Mantha of Plainsboro has recently completed the National Novel Writing Month 50,”000 word challenge. Participants begin writing November 1 with a goal of writing a 175-page (50,”000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.
She is the author of “My Intended” and “Floaters,” now available as a BLAST PRESS iUniverse paperback. “The book captures one woman in the in-between space of life where you must decide if you are going to bail or jump ship,” she says.
Several of her literary short stories appeared in the Literary Review, Folio, and Pleiades. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Florida, an master’s in creative writing from Sarah Lawrence College, and is pursuing a master of education in adult and distance education through Pennsylvania State University. She teaches all forms of writing online for Thomas Edison State College, Mercer County Community College, and Southern New Hampshire University.
