Musicians Dallas Noble (seated), Darya Tahvildar- Zadeh (seated), Julian Edgren, Anna Joselle Lomboy, Charlie Liu, Larissa Korkina and Jeffery Yu are set to perform at Celebrating the Holidays with Music Gems.
Westminster Conservatory of Music is set to present a benefit concert to support its scholarship fund.
Celebrating the Holidays with Music Gems is scheduled for 5 p.m. Jan. 4 at Bristol Chapel, 101 Walnut Lane, Princeton.
Proceeds are set to benefit the Dr. H Korkina Scholarship Fund for dedicated Westminster Conservatory students.
Performers are students of Larissa Korkina, a member of the Westminster Conservatory faculty. They include Princeton High School freshman Darya Tahvildar -Zadeh, Greater Princeton Youth Orchestra concert master Dallas Noble, South Brunswick High School senior Anna Joselle Lomboy, Charlie Liu and Community Middle School eighth grader Jeffery Yu.
Performers will be joined by guest artists Julian Edgren of Princeton University student, Molly Zhu of Emory University student, Farshad Tahvildar-Zadeh of Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and Ruatao Mao, who has been described by Classical New Jersey as a “virtuoso … of world-class magnitude.”
The artists will perform solo piano works, as well as violin and piano duos, by Chopin, Schumann, Rachmaninoff and Schubert.
Musicians have previously showcased their talents at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Center, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, Avery Fisher Hall and Kimmel Center of Philadelphia.
