The 10th annual Touch-A-Truck is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 5, outside the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton.
Whether looking out from the cab of a massive dump truck, feeling the power of the claw of a tough bulldozer, or getting behind the wheel of a larger-than-life fire engine, Mercer County Improvement Authority’s annual Touch-A-Truck event offers children of all ages an opportunity to experience the vehicles that get the job done.
In addition to fire trucks, dozens of other vehicles including ambulances, loaders and garbage trucks are set to be on display.
The family-friendly event will be held rain or shine. County employees and owners of area companies will display their polished vehicles and will be on hand to answer questions and to allow children to climb in or on their vehicles.
Robo Willie, the Mercer County Improvement Authority’s mascot, is set to make a special appearance along with “Bob the Builder.”
Touch-A-Truck will also feature a food court and face painter.
This year’s sponsors are Hawk’s Towing, Joseph Jingoli and Son Inc., New Jersey Education Association, Waste Management and Sun National Bank Center.
Sun National Bank Center is located at 81 Hamilton Ave., Trenton.
