Arthie Jeyakumar, a senior at Peddie School and a West Windsor resident, received a Bausch & Lomb honorary science award and scholarship granted by the University of Rochester. She received the award in September at the opening school convocation.##M:[more]##
A national merit commended scholar, she is currently taking advanced placement courses in psychology, calculus, and chemistry and is enrolled in advanced research physics.
At Peddie, she has served as both junior and senior class president while representing students on the student-faculty senate. In addition, she is a senior leader for the day student prefect program and a leader for new student orientation.
Jeyakumar, a member of the school’s Gold Key Society, a service organization requiring nomination by the faculty and then election by students, is also the club secretary and member of the Model United Nations organization, Science Club, and Biology Olympian. She is also Peddie’s campus coordinator of Lock-In to Fight Homelessness in Mercer County.
