The Mercer Junior Rowing Club took part in the Mercer Lake Sprints on April 19 atMercer County Park. The Men’s 1st Varsity 8 (with residents Jordan Berman, Andrew Wagner, Kyle Rohrbach) took second place; the Women’s 1st Varsity 8 (with residents Jessica Wesson, Jennifer Hu, Allison Friedlander, Allison Simi, and Kirsten Schenck) took first place. The Men’s 2nd Varsity 8 (with residents Nick Feibel, Brenton Henry, Greg Kuhlman, and Taylor Scialabba) took secone place. The women’s 2nd Varsity 8 (with residents Laura Kuhlman and Lanie Wagenblast) took third place.

The WWP Fusion defeated Aberdeen-Matawan, 4-2, on April 20. The Fusion’s first goal was scored by Becky Korodan on a pass from Jamie Scoff. Jackie Kercheval scored the last 3 goals, the first two on passes from Brooke Townsend.

Princeton Junction resident Joe Horowitz scored a goal and two assists in his first career game with the Bentley Falcons men’s lacrosse team on April 19 in the team’s 18-4 victory over American International.

Princeton Junction resident Matt Lalli helped Colgate capture its first Patriot League lacrosse championship on April 27. He tied the mark for assists with seven in two games. Cogate defeated Navy, 12-9, and Bucknell, 13-9. He currently has a team-high 22 assists.

West Windsor’s Brittany Iacouzze, a freshman at Yale, was named Honorable Mention for the Division I Women’s Mid-Major All-America Swimming Team. At the Ivy League Championships, she had a fourth place finish in the 1,”650-yard freestyle and eighth place finishes in the 500-yard and 1000-yard freestyle. She was also part of the 800-yard freestyle relay team that placed fourth at the championships.

North senior Danielle Parisi, who plays second base for the softball team, was honored with a scholarship by the Trenton Softball Hall of Fame.
