South: The girls placed first as a team, with 106.33, at the Mercer County Championships on May 14. It is the team’s first outdoor track and field title. Plainsboro resident Anthony Aloi qualified for the 110th New Jersey State Golf Association’s amateur championship by tying for ninth, with a 74, on May 23 at White Beeches in Haworth. He advances to the State Amateur, held June 7-9 at Trump National in Bedminster.
North junior Charles Cai qualified on May 23 for the Metropolitan Golf Association’s Ike Stroke Play Championship June 27-28 at Somerset Hills in Bernardsville. He tied for medalist with a 71 at Raritan Valley Country Club.
