The West Windsor-Plainsboro Babe Ruth League has been chosen to host the NJ State Tournament for the 13-year-old division in 2010.
The tournament takes place in July. Games will be played on Ciufanni Field — where the infield was resurfaced, the outfield was aerated and reseeded, the dugouts were renovated, and a new scoreboard and lighting system are scheduled to be installed in the spring — at Community Park. Because WW-P was chosen as the host site, it automatically qualifies to play in the tournament.
In the meantime, registration for the Babe Ruth League will begin shortly. To register, log onto https://www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?url=wwpbaberuth.
In 2009, the league fielded over 6 teams in the Babe Ruth Spring League with three going on to state district play.
