South graduate Dave Twamley was named MVP at the Sunshine Football Classic on July 2.
High School South graduate Gabi Hunter will be joining the High Point University women’s cross country and track & field team for the 2009-’10 season. Hunter heads to High Point with a personal record of 2:18.7 in the 800-meter, also a High School South record. She was also a member of the school-record 4×400 relay team (3:59). South was Group 3 Section champ and runner-up for the Mercer County Championship.
