#b#WW-P Alumni in the News#/b#: Tramley at Penn
Dave Twamley was a three-sport athlete during his tenure at High School South, but he really found his niche in football.
Twamley, near right, a senior at the University of Pennsylvania, was named second-team All-Ivy and helped lead the Quakers to a 2012 Ivy League championship.
As a cornerback, he accounted for two of the team’s 12 interceptions, including one against Princeton University on November 3 that allowed Penn to tie the score and eventually win the game. Twamley also finished the season with 63 tackles, 43 of which were solo.
Twamley graduated from South in 2009. In addition to playing football, he was also a member of the lacrosse and indoor track teams. He was an all-conference and all-area player in both football and lacrosse, and he was named the Conference Lacrosse Player of the Year in 2008 and 2009.
His sister, Kelly, played lacrosse at the University of Delaware. He is the son of Teresa and Dave Twamley.
Former QB Jensen, Now Wide Receiver
As a sophomore at Hamilton College, former North quarterback Joe Jensen is making a name for himself on the football field.
Now a wide receiver, Jensen led the team this season in yards per catch with 16.2. He was also third in total yards of all offensive players (454), yards per game (56.8), and total points.
Jensen’s efforts earned him a spot on the all-New England Small College Athletic Conference second team.
Jensen played baseball in the spring for Hamilton, and he will be on the track team this winter.
Jensen is the son of Joe and Lisa Jensen. His sister, Christie, recently graduated from Seton Hall University where she played softball.
