Adam Racer Schuit received the Shofar Award in recognition of his service to Jewish Boy Scouting. Schuit, who is the youngest recipient of the award in the New York-New Jersey area, also received the Boy Scouts of America Central New Jersey Council’s president’s award. A graduating senior at High School North, he will be attending Cornell University in the fall. A varsity pitcher for the school’s baseball team, he is a member of the National Honor Society and captain of the swim team. A two-time recipient of awards from the Princeton Prize in Race Relations committee, he donated his $500 award to finance the ecumenical Central New Jersey Ten Commandments Hike.
