Voters in Mercer County will decide dozens of contested and uncontested school board races on Nov. 4, as candidates across multiple districts vie for open seats in the 2025 general election.
According to an official list released August 12, the election includes candidates from nearly every municipality in the county, with many races featuring full slates, slogans, and organized tickets.
In East Windsor Regional, three candidates filed to run for three open seats representing East Windsor Township: Jagruti Patel, Jessica DeFalco, and Nicole LaRusso. Robert Laverty is the sole candidate seeking a one-year unexpired term. No seats are up this year in Hightstown Borough.
In Ewing Township, voters will choose among Michael Miller, Nicole NW Harris, and Daniel Angebranndt for three open seats on the Board of Education.
Hamilton Township’s school board race features two full slates running for three open seatrs . Candidates Dina Thornton, Jason McSheene, and Christopher F. Scales are running under the “Putting Students First” banner.
John Muka, Jessica Trombino, and Kyle Chadwick are running as “Responsible Education Hamilton.”
Marvina V. Brown had filed but withdrew from the race on August 12.
In Hopewell Valley Regional, Mark Peters is running unopposed for a single Hopewell Borough seat.
In Hopewell Township, voters will choose two from among Hope Cotter, Amanda Stylianou, and William Keithler. No seats are open this cycle in Pennington Borough.
Lawrence Township features three candidates running for three seats. Patricia “Pepper” Evans, Makenzie Kelly, and Paul Caparotta are running under the “Opportunity Access Achievement” slogan.
In Princeton, three candidates are running unopposed for three seats. They are Erica Snyder, Dafna Kendal—running under “Putting Students First”—and Susan Kanter.
Robbinsville Township has three candidates running for three seats: Raghu Nandan, Peter J. Oehlberg, and Jeffrey Pierro, all under the “Children First” slogan.
In Trenton, four candidates are running for three seats. Running under the “Education for All” slogan are Austin J. Edwards, Jeannie Weakliem, and Danelly DeLeon. Donna M. Wellons is also seeking a seat under the slogan “Making Children First.”
Finally, in West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional, two candidates are running uncontested to represent West Windsor Township: Sharon DiSebastian and Graelynn McKeown, who share the slogan “Experience, Fresh Perspective.”
