Princeton police expect construction projects and holiday events, including the Turkey Trot 5K, to impact traffic beginning Nov. 25.
Vandeventer Avenue, Park Place and Moore Street are set to be closed for utility work 6 a.m. – 8 p.m. Nov. 25. Detours will be posted.
Utility pole replacement is scheduled for Cherry Hill Road 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Nov. 26 – 27. Traffic will alternate through the work area.
Princeton police expect increased traffic for a Princeton University men’s basketball game beginning 6 p.m. Nov. 26.
Tree removal is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Nov. 26 in front of 226 Mercer Road. Delays are likely as traffic will be stopped periodically to allow for work to be done.
Princeton Trinity Church’s Turkey Trot is scheduled for Nob. 28. Several roads are closed for the race.
Road closures include Mercer Street between Nassau Street and Lovers Lane, Alexander Street between University Place and Mercer Street, Springdale Road between Goldman Lane and Mercer Street, Olden Lane between Goldman Lane and Mercer Street and College Road between Springdale Road and Alexander Street.
Police are set to allow traffic passage when safe for race participants.
No overnight parking will be allowed in the race area on Nov. 27.
The annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 29 in Palmer Square. Police expect heavy pedestrian traffic between 3:30 and 7:30 p.m.
