Princeton Athletic Club (PAC) held a 6K cross-country run at the Institute Woods on Dec. 6. The event took place under gray skies and temperatures in the 40s, during a fortunate recess between the overnight rain and afternoon rain.
Lauren Hogshire of Princeton won the women’s event with a time of 25:17. Elizabeth Totten, also from Princeton, came in second at 27:03 with Kavita Panke, Hoboken, on her heels at 27:04. Princeton’s Zoe Brookes won the master’s division at 31:06.
Acasio Pinheiro of Princeton took first for the men’s division at 22:01, followed by Sharan Grewal, also of Princeton, at 22:31. Brian Rosener from Point Pleasant came in third place at 23:45. The masters division was won by Joe Riley of Princeton, with a time of 24:37.
PAC had help from a large volunteer crew, which included nearly a dozen girls from the South Brunswick High School Track and Field team, as well as continued cooperation with the Institute for Advanced Study and Princeton Friends School.
PAC is a non-profit running club for the Princeton area community. It is affiliated with the Road Runners Club of America and USA Track and Field. Membership opportunities are open to all.
PAC will return to the Institute Woods for the spring edition of the 6K run on Apr. 18. For more information about the PAC, its activities and event results, visit princetonac.org.
