Jyotsna Suresh, sixth grade student at Grover Middle School, was honored by Future Problem Solvers International as second in the world in Junior Scenario Writing.##M:[more]##
Her story, “When It’s Not Good To Know Everything,” incorporated a neurotechnology theme in which she developed a futuristic world where school is obsolete as all knowledge is downloaded into students’ brains.
Suresh received her trophy at the opening ceremonies of the 34th annual international student conference at Michigan State University in Lansing. She was accompanied by her PRISM teacher, Joan Ruddiman.
Ross Chapman, a sixth grade student at Community Middle School, successfully completed a writing and problem solving task with students from Nebraska and Texas. His team took second place at the alternates competition at the May 29 to June 1, Future Problem Solving International Competition at Michigan State University. He started with FPS through the PRISM program under the guidance of Karen Rosnick.
