Two Princeton Day School students paint and decorate paper to make original wrapping paper for the school’s first “Wrap-In” project.
Princeton Day School Lower School students are collecting gifts for foster children, which will be distributed through One Simple Wish.
Along with the gift drive, the students are set to participate in a Wrap-In to adorn the gifts with homemade paper and bags.
Classes in the Lower School have been creating their own wrapping paper by painting and decorating extra rolls of paper and gently used bags. Student plan to re-purpose comics, newspaper, grocery bags, fabric and ribbons during the wrap in.
The school plans to collect gifts from Dec. 3-6. The Wrap-In is scheduled for Dec. 12.
Third grade teacher Margie Gibson is leading the project. Recently, Head of Lower School Lisa Surace announced Gibson is taking on the role of Community Service Coordinator, which oversees the community projects service projects taking place in each grade and creates new opportunities for the whole division.
