The Princeton Day School Board of Trustees welcomed three new members.
New trustees are Kun Deng, Joanne ElKadi and Cindy Linville.
Deng, of Princeton Junction, is the parent of a rising PDS third grader. Heholds a masters degree in international affairs from Columbia University, as well as a degree from Beijing University. Deng is currently at Lazard Asset Management, LLC, where he is responsible for Global, International and Emerging Markets Discounted Asset strategies.
ElKadi, of Princeton, is the parent of two rising PDS eighth graders. She graduated from Mt. St. Mary’s University with a degree in sociology. She has volunteered CentraState Healthcare Foundation, and at PDS as Annual Fund Grade Parent, Parent Partner chair, and co-chair of the Auction Ad Journal. ElKadi is the Parents Association president-elect for the 2015-2016 academic year.
Linville, Princeton, has been a longtime and active volunteer at PDS, where all three of her children attended. Supportive and engaged in Annual Fund leadership for the past four years, she currently chairs the Annual Fund Leadership Gift Committee at PDS. She is a Lafayette College graduate.
The Princeton Day School Board of Trustees promotes the school’s mission, appoints and oversees the head of school, establishes broad policies, plans strategically for the school’s future, and develops and stewards the school’s financial and capital resources.
Composed of 21 members, including the Head of School, the Board of Trustees meets six times each year.
Members, who serve three-year terms, are drawn from a variety of constituencies, including alumni, current and past parents and grandparents, and other friends of the school. The work of the board is completed through its standing committees, each of which meets regularly through the school year.
PDS is an independent, coeducational school educating students from pre-K to grade 12.
