The Princeton-Blairstown Center (PBC) is proud to announce and welcome Meredith Murray as the organization’s Director of Development and Communications. The Director of Development and Communications is a thought-partner and a hands-on, participative leader responsible for developing and implementing a strategic approach to fundraising and communications at PBC. The position is responsible for institutional advancement and. Murray will oversee a broad range of fundraising initiatives and public information activities for the promotion and advancement of PBC’s mission and goals.
Murray joined PBC in October 2015 with more than twenty years of broad development experience. Most recently, she spent eight years with Peddie School, where she served as Director of Parent Relations and Stewardship and taught Community Life to 9th and 10th grade students. Prior to her work at Peddie, Murray worked as a development consultant and in roles in major and annual giving for The College of New Jersey, The Lawrenceville School and Princeton University. Murray holds a BA in Mass Communications and Political Science from Lycoming College and a MA in Counseling and Personnel Services from The College of New Jersey.
PBC seeks to transform the lives of vulnerable young people through integrated experiential and adventure-based programming in schools and at its outdoor campus. What began in 1908 as a summer camp run by Princeton University students to give inner-city boys an opportunity to have a character-building fresh air experience has evolved into a wide variety of year-round youth development experiential educational programs serving over 5,200 students from the Mid-Atlantic States.
