Five hundred bagged lunches line the countertops of Princeton Academy.
Princeton Academy students, staff and faculty made 500 bagged lunches for a Trenton based soup kitchen, Loaves and Fishes.
The school’s reading specialist Sharie Verdu coordinated the project; she has volunteered at Loaves and Fishes for about 20 years.
Faculty and staff made 10 peanut butter and jelly and 10 bologna sandwiches each for the community service project.
Along with providing apples and juice boxes, students decorated paper bags for the lunches.
Faculty and staff stayed after school to assemble the lunches and delivered them to the soup kitchen the next day.
