Two West Windsor-based artists are proving that the study of art can be a life-long pursuit. Michele Bouchard and Connie Maglione, along with Lynne Faridy of Levittown, Pennsylvania, have for years studied art at Mercer County Community College, first under now-retired professor Mel Leipzig and now under Kyle Stevenson.
Their years of work are now being recognized with an exhibit titled “Potpourri” at the Present Day Club in Princeton, on view through Thursday, April 28. The show of roughly 40 paintings — many completed as class assignments at Mercer — features Maglione’s flowers, Bouchard’s whimsical takes on familiar subjects, and Faridy’s landscapes.
“The art department at Mercer is amazing,” Bouchard says.
