The Plainsboro Police are turning to who they say are the best sources of information to them: the residents.
The police department has established an anonymous tip line so that its residents can relay information to officers, police announced.
“The department recognizes that the residents of our community are the best source of information and at its disposal on problems and issues that are occurring in our township,” police stated in a press release. “it also recognizes that some people are apprehensive about coming forward with information, and that an anonymous tip line will enable them to come forward without their identity being compromised.”
The tip line will allow residents to leave a message on a voicemail system that will be monitored by the detective bureau. Residents can call about any quality of life issue that comes to their attention and any criminal activity they observe or suspect. They will not be required to leave any information about themselves.
