With Nor’easter Athena upon them, the Township Committee briefly met on Wednesday, November 7, to go over a routine agenda.
Deputy Mayor Neil Lewis said that in about 15 minutes, they went through a set of customary resolutions with no members of the public present. He noted the committee passed a proclamation honoring Lights on Afterschool, a nationwide annual celebration of afterschool programs. They also commended Plainsboro’s fire company and district for its ongoing food and clothing drives for emergency workers and residents impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
Donations are being collected at the town firehouse at 405 Plainsboro Road at the corner of Prospect Avenue. They can be dropped off between 5 and 9 p.m., Sunday through Friday.
The next committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 28, at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building at 640 Plainsboro Road.
Rabies Clinic Rescheduled. The free rabies clinic, which had been set for November 3, will be this Saturday, November 17, from 9 to noon in the Public Works Garage at 20 Woodland Drive.
Dogs are scheduled from 9 am to 10 a.m. and cats are from 10 to 11 a.m. Owners must have large dogs securely leashed. Very small dogs and cats should be in a pet carrier.
