Plainsboro Fire Company will mark Fire Prevention Month with a display of its apparatus and educational information at the Plainsboro Public Library on Sunday, October 11, from noon to 4 p.m. The company is celebrating its 55th anniversary in 2015.
The fire company will display its apparatus in Plainsboro’s Market Square outside the library and offer demonstrations and fire prevention information to residents of all ages. The event will also feature the Middlesex County children’s fire safety house, an educational facility designed to teach children fire safety lessons and what to do if their residence catches fire.
“We’re very excited about collaborating with the library on this event, “ said fire company president Tom Healey. “The library is the educational center of Plainsboro and the Market Square is the new center of town. We hope to bring our safety message to a large number of residents of all ages.”
In addition to the fire safety event on Sunday, the fire company will also send a member to an English as a Second Language group at the library. Healey also recorded a segment with township administrator Anthony Cancro for the “Eye on Plainsboro” cable television program.
