West Windsor residents will be able to head to the township municipal building on Tuesday, April 7, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. to have their passport applications processed on-site.
During the special Passport Day, Mercer County Clerk’s office staff will be on hand to process passport applications for township residents, as well as residents from other parts of the county.
To apply for a passport, residents should bring either a state certified birth certificate, a U.S. naturalization certificate, or a previous U.S. passport. Proof of identity, either from a current driver’s license or a state-issued identification card, is also needed. It will cost $75 for adults and $60 for minors, as well as a $25 processing fee to have the passport. And passport photos will be taken on-site for $15, or $10 for senior citizens. Only checks or money orders will be accepted for payment. No credit cards or cash will be accepted.
Because the township’s passport events draw many applicants, clerk’s office officials are encouraging residents to arrive early, as applications and photos will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis, and those who arrive within one hour of the closing time may not be processed.
