Audition

Call for Art

Attitudes In Reverse seeks creative ideas for communicating the importance of seeking help for mental health disorders from students for its sixth annual T-Shirt Design Concept contest. The Plainsboro-based nonprofit organization is dedicated to educating middle school, high school, and college students about mental health, related disorders, and suicide prevention.

Entries are due Sunday, March 6. Entry forms are available online. All contestants will be recognized during the fifth annual Miki & Friends Walk & Run for AIR event on Saturday, May 21, at Mercer County Park in West Windsor. Visit www.­attitudes­inreverse.­org.

American Red Cross encourages individuals and organizations to make a lifesaving blood donation or hosting a blood drive. Blood donations often decline from now to New Year’s Day.

Organizations can help by hosting a blood drive during the winter months. Donors with all blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative, B negative, A negative, and AB blood. Mercer County Veteran Services is conducting its annual donation drive to help veterans and their families enjoy the comforts of a hot meal on each holiday. The organization accepts monetary donations that go toward the purchase of ShopRite gift cards veterans can use to purchase holiday meals. For Teens

Chapman University in California seeks entries for its annual Holocaust art and writing contest from middle and high school students. The theme is “Telling it Forward: Making Memory Matter.” The deadline is Wednesday, February 3.

Miss New Jersey Senior America seeks contestants for its June pageant in Atlantic City. Contestants must be 60 years and older and the winner will compete for Ms. Senior America in October. Conflict Trainings

New Jersey State Bar Foundation offers conflict resolution, peer mediation, and character education trainings. The free trainings are held at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick. Elementary Conflict Resolution Training is Wednesday, April 6. Middle and High School Conflict Resolution Training is Wednesday, February 10.
