Prince of Peace Lutheran Church offers an inaugural gathering of the Greater Princeton Biblical Storytelling Guild on Saturday, September 24, at 10 a.m., at 177 Princeton-Hightstown Road, West Windsor. The guild is open to all individuals interested in learning, practicing, or listening to biblical storytelling. Kelsey Players has auditions for “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” on Saturday September 24, 12:35 to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 2:30 to 5 p.m. at Kelsey Theater at Mercer College, West Windsor. Disaster Recovery

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) opened a Disaster Recovery Center at Mercer College in the fine arts building to assist residents and businesses whose properties were damaged by Hurricane Irene. The site will operate seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Bring a list of materials or goods lost or damaged as a result of the flood. Services offered include guidance regarding disaster recovery, clarification of written correspondence, housing assistance and rental resource information, and more. Mrs. G. TV & Appliances seeks artists in grades 6 to 12 to support breast cancer awareness in “Paint Our Fridge Pink,” a refrigerator decorating contest. The top three entries will be invited to paint their design on retired refrigerators and meet graffiti artist Leon Rainbow. The grand prize winner receives $150 savings bond and Mrs. G will give a matching donation for every voter entry up to $500 to Susan G. Komen of Central/South Jersey. Call for Plays

Lawrence Library calls for play submissions for its fourth annual One Act Play Festival on Monday, April 23. Submit works of staged reading, 10 minutes in length, for up to five characters. The plays chosen will be staged by area actors and directors at the library. Deadline is Sunday, December 11. Include two title pages, one with the play title only and the other with play title, name, address, phone, and E-mail of author. The playwright’s name should not appear in the script. The ideal residence has 25 or more design spaces, ample parking options, and generous grounds that can be transformed by interior and landscape designers to become an elegant show place of beauty and style. Master Gardeners

Middlesex County Agriculture offers a master gardener program in both daytime and evening programs at 42 Riva Avenue, South Brunswick. Master gardeners are community volunteers, trained in earth-friendly gardening and environmental principles.
