Valentine’s Day: Special Delivery

Sweet Adelines International offers singing Valentine’s Thursday to Saturday, February 12 to 14. Deliveries are made in person to people at home, work, or restaurants. For Kids

Raritan Valley Community College offers a variety of science programs for students ages 6 to 17. Courses include Moons of Jupiter, Chemical Magic Plus, Why Does It Work, and Young Astronauts Exploring Mars. Fees range from $26 to $88. Auditions

Omicron Theater Productions seeks actors for speaking and non-speaking parts, male and female, ages 20s to 50s. Auditions by appointment during February. They will train back stage hands. Call 609-443-5598.

The Actors’ NET of Bucks County, a nonprofit regional theatre in Morrisville — across the Delaware River from Trenton — will hold auditions for upcoming musicals and for its summer shows.

Auditions are Saturday, February 7 from 2 to 5 p.m., and Sunday, February 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. Casting is for a June 3 to 20 run of “Sweeney Todd” (all roles open), a July 2 to 4 run of “1776,” and a summer world premiere of a new musical by Joe Doyle about the life and times of patriot Robert Morris, titled “The Man Who Bought a Country.”

Auditioners for musicals are asked to prepare a monologue and song. Bring sheet music or prerecorded accompaniment. Those interested in non-musicals should prepare contrasting monologues. Auditions will be at the Heritage Center, 653 North Delmorr Avenue (Route 32), Morrisville, Pennsylvania, near the Calhoun Street Bridge. Arts Council of Princeton seeks submissions for its 16th annual small works show, a juried exhibit of pieces from all media whose dimensions do not exceed 15 inches in any dimensions. The deadline is Saturday, March 6. Submit through the mail or at 102 Witherspoon Street, Princeton, during business hours. Entry fee $10 per piece, limit three. The show opens on Friday, March 12. The Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition in New Hope has applications for the 2004-2005 juried exhibition open to sculptors working in any media suitable for outdoor exhibition. Deadline for applications is February 28. Works will be on exhibit for approximately 11 months and accepted artists will be paid a stipend. All works must be available for sale. New Jersey State Council on the Arts offers guidelines and applications for its 2004-’05 Folk Arts Apprenticeship Grant Program. Application workshops have been scheduled for locations throughout the state beginning January 30. For information call 609-292-6130.

Washington Crossing Audubon Society offers a full scholarship to the Audubon Workshop for Educators this summer, July 11 to 17. Available to an educator at any private or public school in the area, the workshop is intended for both science and non-science educators who plan to incorporate environmental education into their lesson plans.
