Machestic Dragons, the Princeton Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Team, seek community participation for individual or group paddlers for Paddle for Pink dragon boat festival, on Sunday, June 6, in Mercer County Park. Teams of 16 or 22 may register for $800; individuals cost $40. Equipment provided. There will be music, entertainment,, shopping, ceremonies and dance teams. Parkinson Alliance is organizing “Princeton Dines Out for Parkinson’s Disease” at any of the participating restaurants on Thursday, April 29, and a percentage of the proceeds will benefit research. Donations by the restaurants will be matched by The Tuchman Foundation. Theater Training

Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey is accepting applications from students in grades six through college for summer education programs. The Junior Corps, a two-week acting program for ages 11 to 14, will be held July 12 to 24 and July 27 to August 7, for $650 per session. No audition is required. The Senior Corps, a three-week program for ages 14 to 17, will be held June 21 to July 10 and August 9 to 28, for $750 per session. Seeking Performers

New Jersey Performing Arts Center seeks musicians to perform as part of its summer series of concerts in a public plaza in Newark on Thursday evenings beginning June 24. Each group performs one 30 to 60 minute set and receives a small honorarium. Artists may present and sell CDs and promote other upcoming performances. Lawrenceville Main Street Artists Network is in search of poets to submit poems for its May art show. Gallery artists will create art inspired by poems they choose from submissions. Artsbridge seeks works from artists within a 50-mile radius to submit one framed piece of two-dimensional work or sculpture and two unframed portfolio pieces. Works will be accepted in paintings, watercolors, works on paper, mixed media, photography, and sculpture.

The 16th annual juried show will be at the River Run Gallery in Lambertville from June 5 to 27. Dress for Less

One Simple Wish offers free dresses for proms and graduations to teens in foster care and impoverished families. The dress shop, located at 860 Lower Ferry Road, Suite 4, Ewing, is also open to the public with dresses for sale at $10 and jewelry under $5, on Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds will be used to purchase prom tickets for teens in need.
