West Windsor Senior Center offers free income tax assistance by trained volunteers on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from February 4 to April 15. They will assist in the preparation of federal and state income tax returns free of charge for those with low or moderate incomes.
Individuals must bring copies of their 2012 federal and state income tax returns as well as the 2013 information necessary to complete the 2013 tax returns (W-2 and 1099 income forms, property tax bills, itemized deductions such as medical bills and charitable contributions, etc.). Young Audiences of New Jersey & Eastern Pennsylvania, based in Plainsboro, is accepting applications for the Emerging Artists Creativity Hub, a teen arts program designed for young artists, ages 13 to 17, who are interested and gifted in the arts. The 10-week program is held each semester on Saturdays from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. at the College of New Jersey in Ewing.

The American Heart Association seeks nominations for its eighth annual New Jersey Go Red For Women “Woman of Distinction” award. The award recognizes New Jersey women who work towards promoting a healthy lifestyle, make a sustained, unique, or extraordinary effort to improve the community, support and advance women issues, or serve as a role model to other women.

For Authors
Princeton Public Library is accepting applications from authors interested in participating in an author fair as part of the library’s sixth annual Local Author Day on Saturday, April 12. Workshops for writers begin at 10 a.m.
Open to authors from central New Jersey and Bucks County, with preference given to those who reside within 20 miles of the library. Authors supply their own books and keep all proceeds from sales during the fair.
Space is available for 36 authors with priority given to writers of adult fiction or non-fiction. Writers in other genres, or for other age groups, are also welcome to apply. Four featured authors will be selected and given a 12 to 15 minute time slot to read from their work during the fair. Ten additional authors will be chosen by lottery to read for 5 to 7 minutes. Princeton Senior Resource Center is accepting applications for Next Step Internships, a program designed to help people 50 plus navigate a mid-life career change into an encore career in a nonprofit organization. Through the program, interns develop specific skills related to their project or work assignment and also general experience in the nonprofit sector. A typical internship involves 90 to 120 hours of work assignments, plus training and supervision. Stipends range from $750 to $1,000.

Grounds for Sculpture seeks first-hand accounts of when you attended or worked at the New Jersey State Fair on the current GFS campus.
