New Jersey Performing Arts Center seeks young performers in the Fourth Annual Young Artist Talent Search. Mercer County Artists 2000 exhibition jurying will take place on Saturday, February 28, at The Gallery, Mercer County Community College, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor. The annual, juried show is open to any artist over 18 years of age who lives, works, or studies in Mercer County. All media are eligible except photography.
This is an on-site, live jurying process. Artists drop off one or two pieces of art between 9:30 a.m. and noon. Any work not selected is picked up between 3:30 and 5 p.m. the same day. This year’s juror is Margaret O’Reilly, assistant fine arts curator at the New Jersey State Museum. Cash awards include the Mercer County Purchase Awards and the second annual West Windsor Arts Council Prize. The Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition in New Hope has applications for the 2004-2005 juried exhibition open to sculptors working in any media suitable for outdoor exhibition. Deadline for applications is February 28. Works will be on exhibit for approximately 11 months and accepted artists will be paid a stipend. All works must be available for sale.
