On Jan. 2, the Old Barracks Museum invites the public to meet members of Charles Wilson Peale’s Company and delve into the mindset of revolutionary Philadelphians as they drill, demonstrate various 18th century trade and discuss the radical political climate of the city in 1776-1777. Guests can also take a walking tour of the Battles of Trenton and stay into the evening for a bonfire-side reading of Thomas Paine’s “The American Crisis.”True Patriots are welcome to watch as the company begins its midnight march towards Princeton, with the goal of arriving at Princeton Battlefield the same time the original company arrived over 200 years ago.

The Old Barracks Museum is located at 101 Barrack Street, Trenton. The event is included with the regular museum admission price: $8 for adults, $6 for students and seniors and free for active U.S. Military members and children under 6.
