Nancy Levin, 64, of West Windsor died Sunday, November 4, in the Barbara E. Cheung Memorial Hospice in Edison. Born and raised in Bayonne, she graduated from Bayonne High School in 1960 and Rider College in 1963. She served on the Edison Board of Education from 1982 to 1994, including her three-year tenure as president.
Survivors include her children, Bruce R. Levin of Edison and Sylvia S. Butler of Robbinsville; her father George Greenstein of Monroe; and her brothers, Stuart Greenstein of Tempe, Arizona, and Martin Greenstein of Katonah, New York. Lois D. Hulick, 89, of Cranbury died November 19 at the Elms of Cranbury. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Paula Hulick of West Windsor. Alfred P. Conti, 84, a former West Windsor resident, died November 19 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Born in Siragusa, Sicily, Conti lived in West Windsor for 34 years before moving to Brick in 2007.
He worked as a mechanical and electrical engineer and retired as a financial planner. Conti was involved with the West Windsor Senior Center and was president for a short time.
Survivors include his three sons and daughter-in-law, Glenn Conti, Allen and Melinda Conti, and Robert Conti; and eight grandchildren, Christina, Nicholas, Samantha, Meghan, Courtney, Matthew, Riley, and Lauren.
Howard Martin Anderson Jr., 64, of West Windsor died November 22 at University Medical Center of Princeton. Born in Princeton, he lived in Princeton Junction his entire life.
A graduate of Princeton High School, he received an associate degree in business from Rider College. He owned and ran Anderson’s Nursery and, later, the ABC Child Care Center in Princeton Junction. From 1978 until his retirement in 2006, he drove a school bus for the West Windsor-Plainsboro School District.
Survivors include his daughters and son-in law, Melinda and Thomas Piergrossi of Fort Lauderdale, and Katie of Manahawkin; his son Keith of Plainsboro; and his sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Dennis Hawver of West Windsor.
Manjit K. Saluja, 85, of West Windsor died November 24. She was born in India. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Surinderjit S. and Gurcharan K.; a daughter and son-in-law, Barinderjit K. Bal and Karamjit S.; three grandchildren, Kanwarpreet S. Saluja and husband Gurkiroun, Sapreet K. Narulla and husband Haranjeet S., and Harveen K. Bal; and a brother, Partap Singh.
John J. Stachowicz, 86, of Princeton died November 26 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Survivors include a daughter, Marybeth Stachowicz Stone of West Windsor; and grandchildren Michael and Caroline Stone. Sandra J. Battaglia, 71, of Hamilton died November 26 in Hamilton Continuing Care Center. Born in Plainfield, she was a resident of West Windsor for 22 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck and West Windsor Republican Committee.
Survivors include her husband, Jacob C. Battaglia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Geoffrey and Toni McDermott, and Stephan and Linda McDermott; a stepdaughter and her husband, Lisa M. and Paul Karlik; a stepson and his wife, Louis C. and Hannah Battaglia; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Chick Spain; four grandchildren, Christopher, Danny, Ryan, and Megan McDermott; and two step-grandchildren, Leanne and Louis Karlik.
The funeral service will be held Friday, November 30, at 10 a.m., at Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, with Floyd W. Churn, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck, officiating.
