Nina S. Jamal of West Windsor is teaching image and etiquette-related classes at High School South through WWP Community Education. She is also offering an enrichment program for children in Manners and Etiquette.
“When you walk into a room it takes 30 seconds to project your image,” says Jamal. “It’s just the way human nature is.”
“Etiquette 101: Table Manners and More for the Discerning Individual” includes lessons in electronic etiquette, table settings, the impact of a handshake, social introductions, and what to do with your napkin. The two-week session begins on Tuesday, November 1 for a cost of $39.
“Image: Your Most Powerful Tool of Communication” is a one-session class about communicating effectively, silent messages, and the very important first impression. It will be held on Tuesday, October 25, $35.
“Wardrobe Audit and Planning” is also a one-session class in creating and organizing a functional wardrobe and matching your wardrobe to your lifestyle. It will be held on Thursday, October 27, $25. “It’s time to weed out what no longer works,” she says. “Find styles that are good for you — not something that looked good on your sister.”
Jamal is a certified image consultant and a member of Association of Image Consultants. She has worked in New York City and now works independently. “I want to be self-employed and the prime importance is working around the children.”
