A daughter, Josephine Therese, was born to Timothy and Lauren Walton of Plainsboro on January 12 at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro.

Mary A. (Knox) Kuklis, 94, died January 1 at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Carole and Stephen Oberheim of West Windsor; and grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on January 5, at St. David the King Church. Donations may be made to St. David the King RC Church, 1 New Village Road, West Windsor 08550.

Reverend Robert LeRoy Blackwell, 86, of Columbia, South Carolina, died January 4. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, he graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary and was an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church USA. He was the former pastor of Plainsboro Presbyterian Church.

Blackwell was a co-founder of Operation Friendship of America, an international youth venture, served as president, twice as tour director, and was made a life member of the organization. An Eagle Scout and recipient of the Silver Beaver BSA award, he served as a member of the executive board of the Hudson-Hamilton Council of New Jersey for more than 30 years.

Survivors include his wife, Beverley; son, Bruce Robert; daughter and son-in-law, Elisabeth Ann and James Schwartz; granddaughter, Jessica Schwartz; grandson, Luke Schwartz; sister-in-law; Linda Cook Jacobs and her husband, Arthur; niece and nephews. Excerpts from Plainsboro Fire Company’s Facebook page include: “Rev. Blackwell was a guiding force behind the creation of the Plainsboro Fire Company in 1960 when members of his congregation approached him with the idea of forming the Plainsboro Volunteer Fire Company. Prior to that time, fire protection in Plainsboro was provided by the Kingston, Princeton Junction and Cranbury fire companies.

Bob, as he preferred to be called, served as an active firefighter from 1961 when the company began responding until he left Plainsboro to become the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington in Kearny. He kept in touch with many Plainsboro residents and visited the fire company in October, 2014. During his visit, Station 49 received a RIT assignment and the run log gave Bob credit for the call using his original badge number: ‘04-1961 Blackwell, R.’”

Joseph V. Reaph Jr. of Plainsboro died January 5. Survivors include his wife, Janne Reaph; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Ounan and Frank Ounan and Barbara and Bill Revere; and sons Geoffrey and David.

James T. Blaine II, 87, of West Windsor died January 5. Survivors include his wife, Betty (Roemhild) Blaine; and children, James T. and Ellen Blaine III, Barbara A. Nabial, Douglas C., and David C. and Christine Blaine; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert C. and Carole Blaine; and grandchildren, Katie Blaine, John (Kathie), James Nabial, Alexandra, Ian, and Camille Blaine. A celebration of life service was held Saturday, January 16, at Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church.

Helen M. Mason, 98, of Plainsboro died January 5 in Atrium Senior Living in Plainsboro. She was born in Newark. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jack Penney of Cranbury; a son, Glen Mason of Minnetonka, Minnesota; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated January 9, at Queenship of Mary R.C. Church in Plainsboro.

Sally H. McMillin, 80, of Ithaca, New York, died January 5. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law David and Marlene Brown of West Windsor.

Andrea B. Smith, 51, of Trenton died January 6. Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Lonzetta DeLoney-Rush and James Rush Sr.; a niece, Amber Deloney-Stewart; and a nephew, James ‘JD’ Rush, Jr., all of West Windsor.

June Mitrocsak, 87, of Cherry Hill died January 6. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Mitrocsak of Plainsboro.

Helen Patton Broomall, 93, a former resident of West Windsor died January 7. Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Carl J. and Betty Thompson; her son-in-law, Wayne Wolfrum; her sister, G. Elaine Patton; and nieces and nephews.

Arnold H. Pierson, 95, of Rehoboth, Delaware, died January 7. Born in the Princeton area, he graduated from Princeton High School in 1938. He served as a staff sergeant during World War II and received a Purple Heart and Legion of Merit. He attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Art and was a display artist for Duplex Display in Philadelphia from 1951 to 1999.

Survivors include his sisters, Mary Schenck of West Windsor and Madeline Swinnerton of Vancouver, Washington; his daughter, Judith Pierson and her spouse, Susan Graves, of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware; his son, Arnold Paul Pierson of New York; his daughter, Susanne Pierson; and his daughter-in-law, Judy Lesher of Milton, Delaware.

Joseph Francis Cullinan, 81, of Darien, Connecticut died January 8. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cathy Cullinan of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to https://donate.cancer.­org.

John S. Grosso, 93, of Jackson died January 8. A Navy veteran, he served during World War II. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law John (Jackie) and Sandy of West Windsor. Donations may be made to www.­alz.­org/donate.

Donald Peter Misiura, 58, of West Windsor died January 11. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, he was raised in Newtown, Connecticut and lived in West Windsor for more than 40 years. A graduate of Mercer Community College, he was a senior engineering technician for PSE&G.

Survivors include his mother, Joan (Cherko) Misiura; his brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Kathleen and Steven and Deirdre; his nieces, Fiona Clare and Tara Anne; his aunt, Mary Kubicek; his uncle, Stanley Misiura; many cousins; and his Maddie, his Bichon Frise.
