The University Medical Center at Princeton has announced the following births:

A son was born to West Windsor residents Xiao and Jiale Ni, January 19.

Doris Dill Holaday, 87, died January 17 at St. Vincent Hospice in Carmel, Indiana. Born in Seattle, Washington, she was raised in Missouri, and lived in West Windsor for 38 years.

After receiving a degree in English and foreign languages from Washington University in St. Louis, she studied fashion merchandising and worked in that field in New York City for several years. She later earned her master’s degree in library science from Rutgers University and had a 20 year career as a high school librarian in the Somerville school district.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, David and Linda, Steven and Jean; daughter and son-in-law, Laurel and Ron Tiemens; and 16 grandchildren.

Edward Mykietyn, 82, of Whiting died January 18. Born in Cookstown, he lived in West Windsor before moving to Whiting in 2000. After working with RCA for many years he was a packing engineer for Sensors Unlimited. He retired in 2003.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Viola Jordan Mykietyn; one daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Fred Sigle of Plainsboro; two sons, Edward J. of Bound Brook and Kevin of Plainsboro; three brothers, Charles of California, Leon of Toms River, and John of Brick; three sisters, Ann Drury of Virginia, Mary Vetrini of Budd Lake, and Olga Kraemer of Manasquan; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Shyrle R. Kushner, 87, of West Windsor died January 21. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the office manager at the law firm Teich, Groh & Frost for many years before retiring. Survivors include her husband, Sol Kushner; a daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Stephen Benowitz; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Gail Kushner; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Frank H. Lewis, of West Windsor died January 21. Survivors include his wife, Sondra; sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Aly Lewis and Mark and Bayleh Lewis; an grandchildren Benjamin, Jordon, Asher, and Landon. Dale Eugene Hanson, 55, of Carter Lake, Iowa, died January 21. Survivors include a daughter, Samantha Slyter of Plainsboro.

Mabel M. Gantt, 69, of Caledonia, Ohio, died January 23. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Conan and Kristian Lane of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society .

Donald E. Allen, 77, of Yardville died January 24 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Survivors include his sister, Nancy Wilson of Plainsboro. Paul D. Berlowitz, 80, of West Windsor died January 25 at the Elms of Cranbury. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he lived in South Brunswick prior to moving to West Windsor. Berlowitz, an Army veteran, was president of Corner Coffee Distributors of Somerset. Survivors include his wife, Harriet; a daughter, Diane Berlowitz; and a step-son, Ira Nevins.

Fred Procaccini, 72, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, died January 27 at his home. Survivors include his sister, Filomena Perpetua of Plainsboro. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 3, at 11 a.m. at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 North Franklin Street, Lambertville. Donations may be made to Mercy Care Hospice, 8216 Devon Court, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.

Harold “Hesh” Berman, 92, of Highland Park died January 28. Survivors include his grandson Matthew Shiff of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to the Highland Park First Aid Squad or Deborah Hospital, Browns Mills.

Stephen Niatas, 88, of Hightstown died January 29 at Merwick Care and Rehabilitation Center in Plainsboro. Survivors include a daughter, Faith Gulotta of West Windsor; and two grandchildren, Anthony and Angela Gulotta. Funeral services will be Friday, February 3, at 11 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1200 Klockner Road, Hamilton.

Theresa B. Amato-Norton, 68, of Old Bridge died January 31. Survivors include a daughter, Nicole Norton of Plainsboro. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 3, at 8 a.m., in the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Church, Old Bridge.
