McDermott’s Handy is set to perform a concert of traditional Irish music at Princeton Public Library.
The performance is scheduled for 3 p.m. March 16 in the library’s Community Room, 65 Witherspoon St., Princeton.
McDermott’s Handy is a husband-wife duo consisting of Kathy DeAngelo and Dennis Gormleyare, who have been performing together in the Delaware Valley since 1979.
These multi-instrumentalists combine their strong vocals and equally strong backing accompaniment with a commanding stage presence that comes from hundreds of performances in front of all kinds of audiences.
DeAngelo mainly plays harp and fiddle and occasionally adds five-string banjo and bodhran. Gormley plays guitar, flute and tinwhistle and can also play mandolin or bouzouki when the arrangement requires. They sing in both Irish and English.
