Mercer Cultural and Heritage Commission invites non-profit organizations throughout New Jersey to apply for “Citizenship in American: Rights and Responsibilities” grants of up to $3,”000. United Way of Greater Mercer County seeks volunteers for a one-day event in which they attempt to count the homeless population in the county. The purpose is to identify a need for HUD funding through the Continuum of Care. During the event volunteers will distribute food and toiletry kits to those they speak to. International Student Exchange Program seeks host families for boys and girls ages 15 to 18. They arrive shortly before school begins and return at the end of the school year or semester.
