James Hughes
The Historical Society of Princeton’s Annual Meeting and Lewis B. Cuyler Lecture will be held at the Nassau Club on Wednesday, February 11 at 8 p.m.
The guest speaker will be James W. Hughes, a professor and dean at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning Public Policy at Rutgers University. He will discussed issues addressed in his most recent book, New Jersey’s Postsuburban Economy, which he co-authored with Joseph J. Seneca, a professor of economics at Rutgers and is based on the Rutgers Regional Report series.
The book discusses how New Jersey’s economy has continuously and successfully confronted the challenges and uncertainties of technological and demographic change. As new technology and an Internet-based global economy start another transformation, the state will have to adapt itself once again.
The event is free, but registration is required. RSVP to the Historical Society at (609) 921-6748 x105 or eve@princetonhistory.org.
