Jordan Carroll, 11, will be attending a session of the Junior National Youth Leaders Conference in June. The program offers sixth and seventh grade students the opportunity to learn about leadership by focusing on the past and examining historical time periods.##M:[more]##
He was recommended for the program by PRISM (Performance Reveals Individual Student Magic) teacher Joan Ruddiman, middle school teacher in the district for 18 years and coordinator and facilitator of the PRISM program at Grover. Jordan is the first from the West Windsor-Plainsboro district to attend the program as a middle school student. A history buff, his parents elected to let him go to the conference and learn leadership. Jordan was in Washington, DC on a family vacation last year.
His other summer plans include ESF Camp, sleepaway camp, and a family vacation on Cape Cod. Active in theater at school, he has had featured roles at Kelsey Theater. He is also a member of the Westminster Cantus, a youth singing ensemble. Jordan also plays piano and enjoys baseball and cross country. www.cylc.org .
