The New Jersey Association of School Administrators Executive Director Richard G. Bozza has announced that WW-P Superintendent Victoria Kniewel has complied with NJASA’s “full disclosure initiative to provide communities with the educational background of school superintendents,” according to a press release.##M:[more]##
Kniewel, who has been serving as the WW-P superintendent since 2007, earned three advanced degrees — a Master of Arts in Learning Disabilities from Montclair State in 1981; a Master of Science in Education from Fordham in 1995; and a doctorate in Executive Leadership from Fordham in 1999.
The announcement by NJASA is part of its campaign to “assure the residents of the state that their educational leaders are qualified to serve as chief education officers.” NJASA represents approximately 1,”000 state superintendents.
Prior to being hired in WW-P, Kniewel served as principal of Orchard Elementary School in the Ridgewood School District; assistant superintendent and principal for Ho-Ho-Kus School; assistant superintendent for the North Salem Central District in New York; and assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction at WW-P from August, 2004, until her appointment as superintendent.
