Kelsey Theatre is set to kick off its 2013-14 season with PinnWorth Productions’ A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum in September.
The show ushers in a season of 22 full-length dramas and musical productions along with eight Kelsey Kids Series shows at Mercer County Community College’s theater.
A Funny Thing Happened is scheduled for Sept. 6 to 15.
In addition to A Funny Thing Happened, the fall schedule includes seven full length and two holiday shows.
The Yardley Players are set to present A Flea in Her Ear Sept. 20 to 29.
The Pennington Players plan to perform Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Oct. 4 to 13.
The James Tolin Memorial Fund is set to present Laramie Project: A Staged Reading Oct. 6.
Pierrot Productions is set to perform Carrie: The Musical Oct. 18 to 27.
MCCC Academic Theatre Company and Professor Emeritus Mel Leipzig plan to present Rosmersholm on Oct. 24.
Playful Theatre Productions is set to present Working Nov. 1 to 10.
Maurer Productions OnStage plans to perform Spamalot Nov. 15 to Dec. 1.
Scheduled holiday productions include Annie: the Movie Sing-Along on Dec. 13 to 14 and the Nutcracker-inspired Latin and Spanish dance show, El Sueno, on Dec. 15.
Kelsey Theatre has more productions planned for 2014; including Love! Valour! Compassion, The Actor’s Nightmare and A Night in the Theatre and The 39 Steps in January, Reock and Roll Revue’s Eric Clapton: Journeyman and Master Class in February, Peter Pan: the Musical in March, Hair in April, Something for Everyone by Mercer Dance Ensemble, The Great American Trailer Park Musical and Shrek: the Musical in May and Much Ado About Nothing in June.
Scheduled children’s shows include The Velveteen Rabbit on Oct. 19, Heidi on Nov. 9, ’Twas the Night Before Christmas on Dec. 6 to 8, The Nutcracker on Dec. 20 to 22, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day on Jan. 11, The Monster Who Ate My Peas on Feb. 8, Stuart Little on April 5 and The Emperor’s New Clothes on May 17.
Ticket prices for full-length musicals are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, and $16 for students/children; non-musicals are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors, and $14 for students/children.
Ticket prices for the Kelsey Kids Series are $10 for children and seniors, and $12 for adults. Tickets for all single shows are set to go on sale Aug. 20.
Kelsey Theatre is located on MCCC’s West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
