Harvard Law School: Damon King, a graduate of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School, Class of 2000, and Harvard University, Class of 2004, is entering Harvard Law School this fall. King, who worked as a paralegal nonprofit specialist at Harmon, Curran, Spielberg, and Eisenberg in Washington, DC, assisted attorneys in the nonprofit tax law and election law practices.
As an undergraduate at Harvard, he was heavily involved in the Harvard chapter of Habitat for Humanity and participated in two international builds in Guyana, South America. He also served as music director of the Harvard Lowkeys, a campus a capella group.##M:[more]##
American University: Amanda Bernardo of West Windsor is on the spring dean’s list. She is majoring in international studies.
Bates College: David A. Londardo of Plainsboro is on the dean’s list. A graduate of High School South, he is double majoring in Russian and political science.
Boston University: Megan Castellano was on the dean’s list of the honors program during both semesters of her freshman year. A graduate of High School North, Class of 2005, she plans to graduate a year early due to 36 AP credits received at North. A member of BU’s nationally-ranked mock trial team, she spent three weeks in Los Angeles this summer working as a mock trial team leader and coach for the National Honors Convocation. Jessica A. Galvano of Plainsboro is on the spring dean’s list.
Dartmouth College: Anoop Rathod of West Windsor studied Arabic in Fez, Morocco, this summer as part of the school’s language study abroad program. Kemper P. Diehl of West Windsor graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree.
University of Denver: Jeffrey Katz of West Windsor is headed to Rome for the fall semester. A rising junior, he is majoring in business management. Katz is a graduate of High School South, Class of 2004.
Franklin & Marshall College: Jeffrey Scott Fox of West Windsor is on the dean’s list. He is majoring in business, organizations, and society.
Johns Hopkins University: Joanna Clare Solloway of West Windsor graduated with a major in economics.
Loyola College: Kristen Castellano, 2002 North graduate, graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in finance. President of the Resident Affairs Council, she was Loyala’s Sellinger Scholar and a member of Beta Gamma Signma. She has accepted a job in investment banking at JP Morgan in Delaware.
University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey: Summer Elshenaway of West Windsor is one of the 170 first year medical students. At the traditional White Coat Ceremony held on August 15, she received a copy of “On Doctoring,” a collection of poems, stories, and essays that provide insight into the medical profession.
University of Rochester: South graduate Anna Jill Klausner of West Windsor is on the spring dean’s list. A graduate of High School North, she is majoring in molecular genetics. Matthew Avery Schurin is also on the dean’s list. He is majoring in economics.
Rutgers University: Mariella Zibman of West Windsor, a rising junior at Rutgers, received a scholarship to play field hockey year-round at the school. This summer she was an intern at the Lewis School in Princeton. She is a graduate of High School South, Class of 2004.
Syracuse University: Pearly Leung of West Windsor is on the dean’s list. She is majoring in television, radio, and film. Victoria Vaynberg of Plainsboro is on the dean’s list. She is majoring in advertising.
Tufts University: Sabina Carlson of West Windsor, a June graduate of High School North, was the keynote speaker at Amnesty International USA’s annual Youth Activist Kollege (YAK) in Arlington, Virginia in July. Carlson spoke to the group about her experience as a student activist and about the crisis in Darfur. She is a rising freshman.
Union College: Julia Francis, a graduate of High School North, was on the spring dean’s list.
Virginia Tech: Erica Schoenhaus of Plainsboro graduated with a bachelor degree in psychology.
