Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra, gives a special holiday concert on Sunday, December 4, at Princeton Alliance Church in Plainsboro.
“Romance for the Holidays” features Happy Singers and Chinese Musical Voices in “Butterfly Lovers” under the direction of Wennie Nai-Yueh Niu. A community chorus sings excerpts from Handel’s “Messiah.” The orchestra, under the direction of Chiu-Tze Lin, includes professional musicians, high-level amateurs, university students, and gifted pre-college students. The program also includes “Romeo and Juliet” by Tchaikovsky and the “Festive Sounds of Hanukkah.”
West Windsor and Plainsboro singers include sopranos Bo Jiang, Manhong Wu, Mei Hu, and Cindy Li; altos Lih-Fen Hsieh, Sherry Lee, Diane Tsai, and Grace Hau; tenors Guanjone Tuan, David Hu, and Winston Xie; and basses Jeff Kao, Kwang-Shi Shu, Shuwen Luan, and Marty Maa. Accompanist is Christina Xie of West Windsor.
Practice up on your carols because the audience will be invited to join in a holiday music sing-along.
