Three teachers received grant awards from West Windsor-Plainsboro Education Foundation.
Robert Corriveau, an honors biology teacher at High School North, will use his grant to teach ninth grade students how to build an ecosystem. These students will then partner with first grade students to teach them the abstract concepts of ecosystems.
Susan Kluxen, a seventh grade social studies teacher at Community Middle School, will use her funds to purchase WeVideo, a cloud based video editing software. Students will create public service announcements related to their social studies and integrated reading and language arts units with a year-end project where they will create their own historical documentary.
Brandy Moncada, a High School South student council advisor, will use her funds to invite speaker Scott Backovich to run a student leader training program. The program will focus on training to create a culture of positivity and support at the high school.
