Although camp is over and school has yet to begin, there is still one more activity for kids — vacation Bible Camp. ##M:[more]##
The one-week program at the Gospel Fellowship Church of Plainsboro, runs Monday to Friday, August 21 to 25, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children ages 4 years through fifth grade. Rides are available. Register at 609-799-5637. The camp is free.
“Fun in the SON” explores God through songs, stories, art, outdoor games, and drama. On Friday evening, the children will share with their friends and family all that they have experienced during the week.
The Gospel Fellowship Church of Plainsboro, a nondenominational church since the early 1970s, includes the former Britton potato farm across from the rescue squad. The building, renovated in the ’80s, is actually a barn with a classic farmhouse in the front.
Ginger and Howard Hunter lead a children’s church that meets there every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. beginning in September.
“God’s Power and Light Company is a meeting where they can learn to love and respond to God in a way that is real and exciting,” says Ginger Hunter. “There is a polka dotted bus called the Wonderbus that my husband drives to pick up the kids in the neighborhoods.”
“There is so much bad news and stress and fear that we deal with every day,” she says. “We are very concerned for the children and youth and feel it is imperative that they be encouraged to have a strong foundation in the Christian Faith.”
