Save the Date: Golf Tournament
In perhaps the wackiest set of entry reqirements for a golf tournament ever, Bagel Hole, at 64 Princeton-Hightstown Road in West Windsor, is launching its first annual golf “”tournament”” with these requirements: You must have bought a bagel in the last year and played at least nine holes of golf in the last three years.
According to Pat Jackman, a frequent customer at Bagel Hole, the idea for the tournament grew out of a group of regulars – doctors, lawyers, company presidents, police officers, and other professionals who catch up with one another almost daily betweeen 7:30 and 9 a.m. “”We’re all friends,”” says Jackman, adding that anyone is welcome to play.
Sign up before Tuesday, June 15, for the tournament, which takes place on Sunday, June 27, at the Cranbury Golf Club, West Windsor. Tee times start at 1 p.m. The entry fee is $10. It’s Dutch for green fees and dinner, or just come for drinks and dinner at the Bog. Awards and prizes will be given. For more information call 609-275-8977.
