Lucia and Ed DiPolvere of West Windsor recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. Married on June 29, 1957, at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, in Hamilton, their celebration was a dinner and dancing party at the Nottingham Ballroom. In attendance were many family members and friends, including cousins from Milan, Italy.##M:[more]##
Their daughter, Celia, lives in North Plainfield. Their son, Mario, and his son, Dylan, live in Ocean Gate.
Ed retired from the Department of Environmental Protection where he was chief of the Office of Noise Control. He is presently active in many organizations. He is secretary of the West Windsor Lions Club, president of the Saturday Evening Dance Club, chairman of the Mercer County Soil Conservation District, and a trustee of the Italian American Festival Association.
Lucia, who was the owner director of the DiPolvere Nursery School in Hamilton, is president of the New Jersey Auxiliary of Soil Conservation Districts, chairman of the North East Regional Auxiliary and vice president of the National Auxiliary of SCD. She is also an active member of the Contemporary of Trenton, Garden State Story Tellers, and immediate past president of the West Windsor Keen Agers.
