West Windsor Planning Board Chairman Marvin Gardner has been named to a three-year term on the board of trustees at Mercer County College. ##M:[more]##
Gardner, a retired attorney, is a member of the Bar in several jurisdictions, including the U.S. Supreme Court. He served as counsel to the Joint Legislative Committee on Court Reorganization of the New York State Legislature and also as Assistant District Attorney for Kings County, N.Y.
Gardner has roots in education as well. He was a teacher in New York City from 1957 to 1965 and later an adjunct professor of business law at Kingsborough Community College.
Gardner graduated from Brooklyn College in 1957 and earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School four years later. He also earned a Master of Laws degree in 1965 and a Master’s degree in Urban Administration and Policy Analysis in 1975.
Gardner has received numerous awards and honors throughout his career, including the national Fellowship for Educational Leadership and a Certificate of Appreciation from the President of the United States. He lives in Village Grande with his wife, Ellie.
